Serge Delongchamp - New VP of TCRC MWED

September 23, 2006

Brothers and Sisters,

Yesterday the TCRC MWED Executive Board met and appointed former Atlantic Region Director Serge Delongchamp to fill the vacant position of Vice President, in accordance with the TCRC MWED by-laws and article XXII section 9 of the IBT constitution.

Brother Delongchamp has served as the Director of the Atlantic Region since June 2004 when the Teamsters were certified and has done an exemplary job. He served on the 2004 -05 National bargaining committee, negotiated three (3) shortline agreements and co-ordinated the election for IBT convention delegates. It has been an honour to serve with Serge while he was Director and I am looking forward to utilizing his talents, abilities and advice in representing the membership at a Division level. Serge is a good friend, a great Union officer and will make an excellent VP.

Though Brother Delongchamp's promotion will be immediate, he will continue with the duties of Director for the interim, while the nomination and election process on the Atlantic region runs its course. This process will begin shortly.

Serge may be reached through the national office at 1 800 567 0571, on his cell at (514) 212-6226 and by e-mail at sdelongchamp@tcrcmwed.ca

In solidarity,

W. Brehl
President
TCRC MWED
