IBT 2006 Convention

June 28, 2006

Brothers and Sisters,

I am proud to announce that Teamsters Canada President Robert Bouvier has been re-elected by acclamation yesterday at Convention. Not only that, the other two International Vice Presidents from Teamsters Canada ran unopposed, and were elected as well.

The Canadian members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters General Executive Board are:

Robert Bouvier, International VP and President of Teamsters Canada.
Tom Fraser, International Vice President
Don McGill, International Vice President

Brothers and Sisters, it was a proud moment to be Canadian and a Teamster, watching President Bouvier as it was announced that he had won by acclimation, while the crowd chanted "Bou-vier...Bou-vier". It is gratifying to see all Teamsters Canada delegates united and strong in their direction and convictions.

We are proud of you Bob, Don and Tom and we could not ask for better representatives to carry our voices to the International.

Teamsters Canada is the fastest growing region in the IBT and we are strong, proud and united. We are a force to be reckoned with and we have exceptional leadership, with a vision for our future and the strength, ability and commitment to get us there.

In solidarity,

Bill Brehl
President
TCRC MWED
