Night Work Policy

January 31, 2006

Brothers and Sisters,

I have posted copies of CPRail's Night Work Policy and Guidelines for safe Night Work Operations on the web site at www.tcrcmwed.ca . There is also a copy of the "Right to Refuse" unsafe work procedure, as well as Complaint forms for unsafe conditions and/ or procedures at work. Please review these, print them and get them out on the property. Especially with the increase in night work these days, we have to insure that everything that we do is done in the safest manner possible.

You have a duty and a responsibility to protect yourself and your Brothers and Sisters from any and all unsafe conditions. Failure to do so could result in criminal charges in some cases. When in doubt the safe course must be followed. If you have any doubt about the safety of the work you are being instructed to perform, you must refuse to do it and call it to the company's attention immediately. Also contact your TCRC MWED H&S rep, your TCRC MWED Director and myself. I can be reached at almost anytime at (519) 819 1530.

Take care and stay safe,

Bill Brehl
President
TCRC MWED
