Ontario Shortline update

As you are aware, we represent members on almost two dozen shortlines.

These companies have traditionally been hard to deal with, especially concerning contractors on the property. This was because they were small revenue lines that figured it would be too costly to keep a lot of our work in house.

That mindset is changing. Director Spikula has been actively working at proving to shortline operators that not only can we do the work cheaper, but we can do it better. And in his dealings with these managers, is making great headway.

Attached is the latest report we have concerning the ONR (Ontario Northland Ralway) and the OVR (Ottawa Valley Railway), our two largest shortlines.
