Teamsters Care - March 2006
March 31, 2006
Brothers and Sisters,
April is Cancer Awareness month, symbolized by the Daffodill.
All of us have had cancer adversely affect our lives in one way or another. I don't believe that there is a person left who has not had to deal with the devatstating effects of this disease, either personally or through friends and family.
Cancer can be beaten. Through resaerch, through caring and with the help of donations. Donations from people like us. I would ask that you take a few moments to reflect on your life, your family and how precious a gift this life, that we have, is.
If you are like me, you will realize that it won't hurt and it certainly will help, if we give a little back. Today I made a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. It was easy. I ask that if you find that you can spare something as well, that you do so. Don't put it off. If the ability is there, do it now. For the sake of your friends, your family and for all those that you have never met who will benefit from your generosity.
For information on how to donate, you can call 24 hours a day to 1888 939 3333. Or go to the Canadian Cancer Society website at www.cancer.ca .
And buy a daffodill from one of the many volunteers when you see them. Let's donate now, so that there will be no need to donate later.
Fraternally,
Bill Brehl
