Roberto Tirelli Resignation

July 5, 2006

Brothers and Sisters,

Effective today, Roberto Tirelli, because of family and health concerns, has resigned from his elected position of Vice President of the TCRC MWED.

On behalf of the Executive Board and myself, I want to thank Roberto for his contributions to this Union and to wish him all the best and the hope that everything works out for him and his family.

Due to prior commitments, including members on annual vacation, the Executive Board will meet in September to deal with this vacancy in accordance with section 6(a){vi} of the TCRC MWED By-laws, which states that the Executive Board will,

(vi) Fill all vacancies in office which occur during the term of such office for the unexpired term in the manner provided in Article XXII, Section 9 of the International Constitution. A vacancy in the position of Regional Director shall be filled by appointment of a person from the Region in which the vacancy occurs.

Should a vacancy occur more than one (1) year prior to the first of the month in which the next regular convention is scheduled to convene, the Executive Board shall call a meeting of the delegates of the Region in which the vacancy occurs for the purpose of nominating candidates for the office in which the vacancy occurred. In the event more than one eligible candidate is nominated an election shall be conducted by secret ballot vote of the Region’s membership in a mailed referendum ballot. The election shall be conducted under the supervision of the Executive Board which shall have the authority to make all arrangements to conduct the election.

Fraternally,

Bill Brehl
