Over the next few weeks we will be conducting the ratification vote for the Memorandum of Settlement. CPRail has requested, and we concur, that everyone get back to work as soon as possible and so we are working towards having everyone back during the ratification.
The attached letters deal with the protocol for accomplishing this. Setting up the TP&E seasonal crews and others may take a few weeks (though the object is to make every effort to get you back by June 18th at the latest) but if you are not scheduled to return by June 11th, you will have the option of taking your annual vacation or using any layoff banked time (though we understand that they paid off the layoff banks when we went out, they are claiming that they didn't). If you are still not back by June 18th you can use any annual vacation, banked time, or you can draw against future overtime. If you are not back by June 25th, you will be put on pay.
You are asked to review the attached letters for when your crew is starting and insure that YOU call your supervisor by the contact date for your crew. The sooner you contact your supervisor, the better. Also make a note of when you called and what information was conveyed.
